Events may choose to hire armed personnel to work within the facility during their event. The event is responsible for any liability associated with these personnel.

We suggest the use of only the most highly trained, licensed/certified individuals such as Off duty San Francisco Police Department Officers, FBI Agents, or Secret Service Agents.

If armed personnel not associated with these organizations are hired for the event they must provide a current copy of their Business License, Certificate of Insurance, and a California Concealed Weapon permit.

A schedule must be provided including dates/times when all armed personnel will be in the facility. 

With the exception of law enforcement personnel working in a pre-approved event-day capacity and assigned to the event, guests may not bring weapons of any kind into the Moscone Center. This prohibition applies to off-duty law enforcement officers  as well as attendees, clients, exhibitors, vendors, and employees.
