Emergency Preparedness Plans and Procedures

The Moscone Center’s Emergency Preparedness Plans (links below) outline the actions to be taken by Moscone personnel should an emergency occur during your event.

In addition to reading the relevant plans, please consider the following suggestions to prepare your staff for any emergency that may arise on-site:

  • Make sure staff is aware of our “511” system for reporting injuries and emergencies.
  • Designate an emergency meeting area this could be your host hotel or a street corner nearbyshould an evacuation become necessary.
  • Set up a phone tree so that staff members know who to call in case of an emergency, whether it’s personal or city-wide.
  • Obtain personal emergency contact information from your staff.

 

All Contractors and other Service Providers should:

  • Make sure staff is aware of our “511” system for reporting injuries and emergencies.
  • In the event of an emergency, cease any type of show-related work until further notice.
  • Listen for instructions via the public address system or, if safe to do so, return to the Service Desk for instructions from your Moscone Event Manager.
  • Do not continue event-related work until you have been instructed to do so by your Moscone Event Manager.
